Mr. Rajan Narayan is a B.Tech Honours in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Kharagpur.
He joined G.K.W. Ltd on 1st April 1965 and had an illustrious 24 ½ year career with them, progressing from Graduate Engineer Trainee to Chief Executive of their Press Metal Component Business. The main manufacturing unit of this business was taken over by Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. in September 1989 and he shifted along with the business to Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. His assignments with Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd over 12 years covered stints as Controller of Operations of the Automotive Sector, Controller of Materials for the Automotive & Farm Equipment Sectors and Executive Vice President of Materials & Manufacturing in the Auto Sector. He had a 1½ year assignment prior to retirement in March 2003 with Mahindra Construction Company Ltd. On retirement from Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. in 2003, he joined Sharda Motors Industries Ltd at Delhi for a 4 year term.
He has joined as Advisor and Head of Projects of Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd. with effect from 1st May, 2007. His present role is to make Project Planning, Contracting and Execution more effective and efficient. He is known for getting things done differently and executing things uniquely.
Apart from his work, his interest are walking, reading, writing and listening to music. |
